Behavior Consulting, Coaching, and Training with you and your pet
in HUNTINGTOn, Indiana
We provide group training classes and private training/coaching, as well as veterinary behavior consulting for dogs and cats in Huntington, Fort Wayne, Aboite Township, Warsaw, Columbia City, Wabash, Marion, and surrounding Indiana cities. We only use positive, non-aversive and Fear Free techniques that are all science based and proven to support learning and create a happier pet. We also teach using a model called L.E.G.S., which stands for Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self. These are four areas we must consider when we look to understand behavior in any species (including humans)! We are dedicated and passionate about enhancing the human-animal bond and creating a more humane and kind world for both people and animals.
Behavior Consults
Pet Pals Country Club offers Behavioral Consultations with Dr. Colleen Quinn who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication ( when needed ) for your dog or cat. These consultations are scheduled through Dr. Quinn’s Veterinary practice, Quinn Veterinary Clinic and Behavior Center , also in Huntington. Some consults are done at the veterinary office, while others are scheduled in your home. Common behavior issues that can be addressed include:
Separation anxiety
Aggression of any kind
Fears and anxieties
Phobias
Veterinary visit/Grooming issues
Dog and puppy Training
We offer a variety of dog training classes for both puppies and adults to learn multiple skills and behaviors. These classes are also designed to help you, the pet parent, understand the body language, needs, learning process, and genetics of your canine pal. Another option for training is private sessions which provide individual training plans created by you and our team to specifically reach your goals for your canine friend.
Pet planning consultations
Welcoming that new canine or feline family member is an exciting time for everyone but can also be a bit overwhelming for both us humans and our new pet. Even deciding if it is the right time to add a new pet, as well as what breed, age, sex, size, etc to look for can become quickly overwhelming. Or maybe we just find ourselves with that new dog or cat we didn’t plan for and are saying “now what do I do?” Dr. Quinn can help you sort through all of this as you start researching the ideal pet for you, planning their arrival, and welcoming them home!
